Also known as “Inca Rose,” it was cherished as a talisman by the ancient Incas. Faceted cuts are rare. This mine is so famous it's practically synonymous with domestic rhodochrosite production. It's now closed... This specimen's appeal lies in its slightly darker hue and silky sheen.

Fluorite フローライト 青蛍光 1.14ct 9.9×4.4×2.9mm Octagon オクタゴン Zimbabwe ジンバブエ産 和名は蛍石、ちょっと柔らかめですが長波で多種多様な蛍光を見せます。 稀産ジンバブエの強蛍光個体です。ミント系グリーンで透明感のある地色、そして写真は明るく写っておりますがシルキーブルーに蛍光します。 数多く見た印象、この産地はインクルージョンが含まれている個体が多いのですが、非常にクリーンなものをセレクトしました。 Its Japanese name is Hotaru-ishi (Firefly Stone). It is a bit soft but shows a wide variety of fluorescence in long waves. This is a rare, strongly fluorescent specimen from Zimbabwe. It has a mint green, transparent base color, and although the photo appears bright, it fluoresces in silky blue. Based on my observations of many specimens, this locality often produces specimens with inclusions, but I have selected a very clean one.

However, cristobalite itself isn't typically treated as a gemstone, so the pure visual impression is what defines Egg-in-Opal's characteristic feature. The biggest selling point of this newly arrived specimen is its remarkably well-formed egg shape and its clear, easily recognizable appearance. The faint play-of-color around it adds a lovely touch, making it quite charming!
