The name derives from the Latin “sapphirus” and Greek “sappheiros,” both meaning “blue,” and it is also called “blue jade” or “blue gemstone.” A crystalline form of aluminum oxide, it boasts a Mohs hardness of 9, second only to diamond.
It's so cute! You can really feel its silky texture, and depending on the angle, it looks like three different colors.
