クォーツ（石英）は二酸化ケイ素を主成分とする鉱物で、無色透明なものは「水晶」と呼ばれ、色や構造によりアメジストやローズクォーツなど多種多様なカラーバリエーションを持ちます。地殻に多く存在し、ジュエリーやパワーストーンとして知られるほか、電圧をかけると正確に振動する特性を利用した「クォーツ式時計」の心臓部として有名です。
山梨県甲府市の一級研磨士の方が手がけた特殊なカットです。
裏面にエングレービングが施され、表面のたくさんのファセットからの写り込みがかっこいい個体です。
Quartz is a mineral composed primarily of silicon dioxide. Colorless and transparent varieties are called “crystal,” while color and structure variations yield diverse hues such as amethyst and rose quartz. Abundant in the Earth's crust, it is known for jewelry and as a power stone. It is also famous as the core component of “quartz watches,” utilizing its property of oscillating precisely when voltage is applied.
This features a special cut crafted by a master polisher in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
This piece features engraving on the reverse side, and the reflections from its numerous facets on the surface create a striking effect.
