『ツァボライト』とは所謂グリーンガーネットの事を指しています。緑色のガーネットは元々全てが「グリーンガーネット」という扱いを受けていて、デマントイドもグリーンガーネットの中に含まれていました。しかし近年ではその認識が変わり「グリーンガーネット＝ツァボライト」になっています。
ケニア産に多い希少なバイカラーガーネットがありますが、こちらはタンザニア産でしかもバイカラーのツァボライトという珍しいタイプの個体です。はっきりバイカラーではなくグラデーション、そしてうるツヤのカボションが可愛さ爆発です！
“Tsavorite” refers to what is known as green garnet. Originally, all green garnets were treated as “green garnet,” and demantoid was also included in green garnet. However, in recent years, this perception has changed, and “green garnet = tsavorite.”
There are rare bicolor garnets often found in Kenya, but this one is from Tanzania and is a rare type of bicolor tsavorite. It's not clearly bicolor but rather a gradation, and the glossy cabochon is incredibly cute!
