日本語の発音の違いから「スカポライト」と呼ばれることもあります。
屈折率がクォーツと近く、イエローやパープルのものは色味も似ていることから、アメジストやシトリンと間違われることも多かったといわれています。
結晶は透明から不透明で主にカラーレスやホワイトのものが多いそうですが、他にもさまざまな色で産出されます。色によっては、見る角度を変えると色が異なって見える多色性が分かりやすいものもあるそうです。
イエローというよりゴールデン系の個体です。キラメキは強めでまさにファイアのよう。
よく見るとレッドブラウンのシラーも確認出来ます！

Due to differences in Japanese pronunciation, it is sometimes called "skapolite."
Its refractive index is close to quartz, and yellow or purple specimens share similar hues, leading to frequent confusion with amethyst or citrine.
Crystals range from transparent to opaque, with colorless and white specimens being most common, though it also occurs in various other colors. Depending on the color, some exhibit noticeable pleochroism, appearing different hues when viewed from different angles.
This specimen leans more golden than yellow. Its sparkle is quite intense, truly like fire.
Upon closer inspection, you can also see reddish-brown schiller!
