宝石展でも、なかなか出会えない希少石「スフェーン」。
光をスペクトル色にする特徴があり、グリーンの宝石ながら、赤、橙、黄、明るいグリーンと様々な色の輝きを見せます。これはダイヤモンドも持つ「ファイア」という特性なのですが、その屈折率はダイヤモンドをも凌ぎます。
久しぶりにパキスタン産が入荷しました、写真以上に実物は緑色が見える個体です。

Sphene is a rare gemstone that is difficult to find even at jewelry exhibitions.
It has the characteristic of refracting light into a spectrum of colors, and although it is a green gemstone, it displays a variety of colors including red, orange, yellow, and bright green. This is a characteristic called “fire” that diamonds also possess, but its refractive index surpasses even that of diamonds.
We have received a shipment from Pakistan for the first time in a long while. The actual stones are greener than they appear in the photos.
