この「アパタイト」という名前はギリシア語の「騙す・策略」を意味する言葉が由来となっています。アパタイトは様々な色や結晶構成で産出されるので、アクアマリンやフローライト、トルマリンなど、色んな石と間違われたためにこの名が付いたといわれています。含有元素によって無色・ピンク・赤・黄・緑・青・紫など様々な色があります。
アパタイトの中でも希少なレッドカラー。カットもバランスが美しく、すっきりした透明度の高い良質な子です。

The name “Apatite” originates from a Greek word meaning “to deceive or scheme.” Apatite occurs in various colors and crystal structures, leading to it being mistaken for stones like aquamarine, fluorite, and tourmaline, hence its name. Depending on its constituent elements, it can be colorless, pink, red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and more.
A rare red color among apatites. The cut is beautifully balanced, and it's a fine specimen with a clean, high transparency.
