ギリシャ語でロードが『バラ』、クロが『色』、サイトが『石』という意味からなる、バラ色の宝石「ロードクロサイト」。「インカローズ」とも呼ばれ古代インカではお守りとされてきたそうです。ファセットカットのものは希少。
アルゼンチン産の高品質な個体は「アンデスの薔薇」と呼ばれ特別視されています。この個体は言わばアンデスレッドローズとでも呼ぶべきか、色といい大きさといい間違いなく特選品です。
後半の写真は撮影ボックス内でLED光源下、そして一眼レフで撮影。その環境下でもこれほどの色合いです。

Rhodochrosite" is a rose-colored gemstone, whose name is derived from the Greek words "road" meaning "rose," "cro" meaning "color," and "site" meaning "stone.It is also called "Inca Rose" and was considered a talisman by the ancient Incas.Faceted-cut stones are rare.
High quality pieces from Argentina are called "Roses of the Andes" and are regarded as special.This specimen is definitely a special selection in terms of color and size.
The latter half of the photo was taken in a shooting box under an LED light source and with a single-lens reflex camera.Even under these conditions, the color is as good as this.
