アメシスト（amethyst）は、紫色の水晶である。紫水晶（むらさきすいしょう、むらさきずいしょう）、紫石英（しせきえい）とも呼ばれる。
瓢箪(ひょうたん)のような、または丸みのあるアンプル瓶のような、特殊なカットです。全面が丸みを帯びており愛らしくコロコロと転がります。
ペンダントトップへ加工する目的で造られたと見られる先穴有り。
Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz. It is also known as “murasaki suishō” or “murasaki zuishō,” and as “purple quartz.”
This is a unique cut that resembles a gourd or a rounded ampoule bottle. The entire surface is rounded, giving it a charming, playful appearance as it rolls around.
It has a hole drilled at the top, suggesting it was crafted to be made into a pendant.
