高い屈折率とダイヤモンドよりも高い分散度を持ち、ファセット加工を施すと強いファイアを見せることからオランダ語で「ダイヤモンドのような」を意味する「デマントイド」と名付けられたことが由来です。
小粒ですが何よりもとにかく色味が最高！数年前から減少してきている濃く美しいビビッドグリーン。
It was named “demantoid”—meaning “diamond-like” in Dutch—because it has a high refractive index and a higher dispersion than diamond, and displays intense fire when faceted.
Although small, its color is simply the best! A deep, beautiful, vivid green that has been becoming increasingly rare in recent years.
