ドラゴンガーネットはコマーシャルネームで、この元となるマラヤガーネットは、1960年代に発見された比較的新しい宝石です。パイロープとスペッサタイトを含む成分が混ざり合うことで誕生しました。強い蛍光性を持っていることが名前の由来です。また、変色性を持つ個体もあります。
今回の個体は、これまでの取扱のドラゴンガーネットの中でも屈指のキラメキを放っています。
Dragon Garnet is a commercial name, and the original Malaya Garnet it comes from is a relatively new gemstone discovered in the 1960s. It was created by the mixing of components including pyrope and spessartite. Its strong fluorescence is the origin of its name. Some specimens also exhibit color change.
This specimen boasts some of the most brilliant luster of any Dragon Garnet we have ever handled.
