鉱物名、宝石名共にゾイサイト、和名を灰簾石(かいれんせき)や、ゆう簾石(ゆうれんせき)といいます。スロベニアの鉱物コレクター、ジグムント・ゾイス氏に由来して名付けられました。
大きさがあって存在感あるのはもちろんですが、多色性がかなり魅力的な一石です。非加熱無処理とのこと！
Both the mineral and gemstone are known as zoisite; in Japanese, it is called "kairenseki" or "yurenseki." It was named after the Slovenian mineral collector Sigmund Zois.
Not only is it large and striking, but its pleochroism is also quite captivating. It is reported to be untreated and unheated!
