アクアマリン（Aquamarine）は、青色のベリル（緑柱石）である。名前はラテン語の「海水」を意味する語から。緑柱石のうち透明で青い色調のものの宝石名。和名は藍玉もしくは水宝玉。青みが美しいサンタマリアアクアマリンが非常に有名です。
ナイジェリア広陵地帯のオールドストックの無処理原石からカット、それでいて非常に強い青みを持つクリーンなアクアマリンです。後半の白地の背景だとより強いブルーです。

Aquamarine is a blue variety of beryl. Its name derives from the Latin word for “sea water.” It is the gemstone name for transparent, blue-toned beryl. Its Japanese names are Aigypsu (藍玉) or Suihōgyoku (水宝玉). The Santa Maria aquamarine, renowned for its beautiful blue hue, is particularly famous.
Cut from untreated rough from old stock in Nigeria's Kigali region, this is a clean aquamarine possessing an exceptionally strong blue hue. Against the white background in the latter part, the blue appears even more intense.
