デュモルチェライトの名前は、発見者のフランスの古生物学者”ユージン・デュモルティエに因んで名付けられました。「デュモルチェライトインクォーツ」とは、水晶が成長していく過程でデュモルチェライトを取り込んだものをいいます。
ルーペで覗くのがなんと楽しい子でしょうか。青みのある本来の結晶と、雪や氷のような白い内包、地の水晶の透明感が合わさって良い雰囲気です。
Dumortierite is named after its discoverer, the French paleontologist Eugène Dumortier. “Dumortierite in quartz” refers to quartz crystals that incorporated dumortierite during their growth process.
How delightful it is to examine them under a loupe! The combination of the bluish original crystals, the snow- or ice-like white inclusions, and the transparency of the host quartz creates a truly lovely atmosphere.
