エッグ・イン・オパールのタマゴっぽい部分、白色内包物は鉱物的にはクリストバライト（和名：方珪石）鉱物になりますが、クリストバライト自体は特に宝石として扱わる事もないので純粋に見た目の印象が、エッグ・イン・オパールの特徴になります。
今回入荷したこの個体は、エッグの形がかなり整っていて、かつはっきり分かりやすいのが最大のセールスポイントです。周りにうっすらと遊色が花を添えているようで可愛い！
The egg-like portion of Egg-in-Opal, the white inclusion, is mineralogically cristobalite (Japanese name: Hōgisei). However, cristobalite itself isn't typically treated as a gemstone, so the pure visual impression is what defines Egg-in-Opal's characteristic feature.
The biggest selling point of this newly arrived specimen is its remarkably well-formed egg shape and its clear, easily recognizable appearance. The faint play-of-color around it adds a lovely touch, making it quite charming!
