アメリカ オレゴン州の鉱山でのみ産出される「オレゴンサンストーン（Oregon Sunstone）」
銅のインクルージョンのキラキラとしたシラー効果が美しいです。和名は灰長石、アメリカではオレゴン州を代表する州宝石にもなっています。
モース硬度6～6.5と比較的柔らかいため、衝撃に注意が必要ですがしっかりとした技術のある工房さんに依頼すればジュエリーとしても、またはルースとしてコレクションにしても魅力的です。
最も定番人気の色合いで、シラー効果がしっかり出る個体をチョイスしました。こちらは角度によって全体にありますが、テーブルが一番強烈に出ます。また少しピンクゴールド系シラーの色です。
Oregon Sunstone, found exclusively in mines in Oregon, USA.
Its beautiful shimmering sheen effect from copper inclusions is striking. Known in Japanese as “ash feldspar,” it is also the state gemstone representing Oregon in the United States.
With a relatively soft Mohs hardness of 6 to 6.5, care is needed to avoid impact. However, when entrusted to a skilled workshop, it becomes a charming piece for jewelry or as a loose stone for collection.
We selected specimens displaying the most popular classic coloration with a pronounced schiller effect. This effect is visible across the stone depending on the angle, but it is most intense on the table. It also exhibits a slightly pink-gold schiller hue.
