アクアマリン（Aquamarine）は、青色のベリル（緑柱石）である。名前はラテン語の「海水」を意味する語から。緑柱石のうち透明で青い色調のものの宝石名。和名は藍玉もしくは水宝玉。青みが美しいサンタマリアアクアマリンが非常に有名です。
こちらの個体は少し珍しいマダガスカルという産地です。かつ、内包物が入っていることが多い同産地において非常にクリーンな結晶が入荷しました。この綺麗さでこの大きさは希少！無処理の原石から研磨しています。
色合いもグレイッシュなカラーが混じるぶんみずみずしい印象より煌めきが増すような色です。
Aquamarine is a blue variety of beryl. Its name derives from the Latin word for “sea water.” It is the gemstone name for transparent, blue-toned beryl. Its Japanese names are Aigypsu (藍玉) or Suihōgyoku (水宝玉). The Santa Maria aquamarine, renowned for its beautiful blue hue, is particularly famous.
This particular specimen originates from the somewhat rare source of Madagascar. Moreover, it features a remarkably clean crystal—a rarity for this locality, which often contains inclusions. This size at this level of beauty is rare! It was polished from an untreated rough stone.
Its coloration, tinged with a grayish hue, lends it a sparkle that enhances its brilliance rather than a purely fresh impression.
