この「アパタイト」という名前はギリシア語の「騙す・策略」を意味する言葉が由来となっています。アパタイトは様々な色や結晶構成で産出されるので、アクアマリンやフローライト、トルマリンなど、色んな石と間違われたためにこの名が付いたといわれています。含有元素によって無色・ピンク・赤・黄・緑・青・紫など様々な色があります。
ネオン感のある一級パライバトルマリンのような非常に美しい色合いです。
いつもと趣向を変えて様々なインクルージョンが入っているものをあえてセレクトしてきました。今回の個体で代表的なのが、リリーパッドペリドットのような白い蓮の花のような内包物があります。

The name “Apatite” originates from a Greek word meaning “to deceive or scheme.” Apatite occurs in various colors and crystal structures, leading to it being mistaken for stones like aquamarine, fluorite, and tourmaline, hence its name. Depending on its constituent elements, it can be colorless, pink, red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and more.
It possesses a stunning, neon-like hue reminiscent of top-grade paraiba tourmaline.
We deliberately selected specimens with diverse inclusions to offer a change of pace. A representative feature in this piece is inclusions resembling white lotus flowers, akin to those found in lily pad peridot.
